Does PS4 genuinely download games faster in rest mode?
All I've heard is anecdotal testify. Does anybody have hard proof or can confirm this?

What happens in balance manner is it suspends whatsoever running games/applications.
If a game or awarding has any kind of network functions, even just hitting a server for leaderboards, the PlayStation severely limits background tasks like downloads.
Additionally, a watched pot never boils.

I believe so, whenever I need to download something I plow the PS4 to restmode and come back in 20 minutes when information technology said it would take an hour. So I believe it works.

Hard proof? I don't accept it but I downloaded RDR2 regularly and so deleted it because I had no space for BO4. Re installed but on Residue Style and it was noticeably faster.
I tin only assume that in Rest Mode all the cyberspace capabilities of your PS4 are defended to the download.
